Hi, I'm Amelia! I've been a tutor for nine years. I've worked with all ages, but I have always gravitated towards elementary teaching. During my time at the University of Alabama, I volunteered with Discovery Buddies, CollegeFirst, and other nonprofits supporting kids' education. 

After working in the public school system, I created Brain Space to help students rediscover the joy in learning. 

At Brain Space, students build confidence and independence while improving their academic skills. My educational philosophy aligns closely with Montessori principles. My literacy instruction is grounded in the Science of Reading, and I am trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology.
